David Starr No. 81 Cash America Toyota Tundra Preview: Nashville 200 at Nashville Superspeedway

Ft. Worth, TX (August 3, 2010) — David Starr will make his third NASCAR start with sponsorship from Cash America this weekend in Nashville, but it will be the first time in the Camping World Truck Series. After backing Starr in two Nationwide Series races at Daytona and O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Cash America is on board with Starr and his Randy Moss Motorsports team in the Truck Series where Starr has racked up 253 career starts, four wins, 45 top-five finishes, and 104 top-ten finishes.

What's the biggest challenge to racing at Nashville? "The biggest difference from what we're used to is the track is concrete instead of asphalt. Concrete stays consistent throughout the heat of the day so you have the same level of grip, no matter if it's 60 degrees or 90 degrees. I like going there and racing on concrete because it's different. It would be boring if all we did was race on the same type of track every week. You have to be able to race on a lot of different types of racetracks to be successful in the Camping World Truck Series."

You have had a lot of really good runs but never have picked up that guitar they give to the winner at Nashville; what do you need to do to get it this weekend? "One year I had a six second lead with less than ten laps to go and there was a caution and the late Bobby Hamilton beat us on the restart. I have been so close there but never have had a chance to lift up that guitar in victory lane. We didn't have a great race there in the spring, but we used that race as a test session so we learned a lot that will help us when we get back there this weekend. You never want to go somewhere and not run good but at the same time you learn what not to do the next time you go back, and that's what happened with us in April. We definitely learned what not to do for this weekend."

Do you enjoy being in the Nashville area? "Since I am from Texas I grew up listening to country music and I just love being in that area with all of those musicians. There's always something fun happening in the downtown area whenever we go there. On top of that there are a lot of really great race fans in the area. It's always a lot of fun to race there because of the fans."

Starr happy to have Texas-based Cash America on board at Nashville: "I am so proud to be racing at Nashville with Cash America on board with us. It means a lot to me to have a Ft. Worth-based company as a partner with our Randy Moss Motorsports team. There are a lot of Cash America locations in the Nashville area so we'd really like to have a great run for them this weekend. It's a big honor, and we're all proud and excited to have them on with us."
